01 — Where We Come From
Some companies start in boardrooms. Hai started from something deeper than that.
Our founder, David Hakopian, is the son of an Armenian immigrant who left everyone he loved behind. His family, his country, everything. He moved to Canada so his kids could have a better life.
That kind of sacrifice doesn’t just stay in the past. It becomes the standard you hold yourself to. The reason you don’t quit. The reason “good enough” is never good enough.
Toughness isn’t something we put on a slide. It’s where we come from.
02 — The Experience
David studied Software Engineering at McGill. He spent years working in software, sales, consulting, and real estate. Sitting across the table from executives, startup founders, and small business owners.
The people who built Hai came up the same way. Through real businesses. Real losses. Real wins. None of us grew up looking for the easy path.
The real education didn’t happen in a classroom.
03 — What We Understand
We’ve seen companies lose everything and rebuild. We’ve been inside businesses where one bad quarter changed the whole story. We’ve seen what happens when the right systems aren’t in place, and what happens when they are.
Our founder lost his home to a fire. He’s lost money, lost time, and started over more than once. That doesn’t make for a dramatic story. It makes for a partner who actually knows what it costs to go all-in on something.
When you work with Hai, you’re not working with people who read about hard problems. You’re working with people who lived them and kept building anyway.
The best partners aren’t the ones with the nicest offices. They’re the ones who know what it takes to build something from nothing.
04 — Montreal
We’re based in Montreal. Not because we had to be. Because we chose to be.
Montreal is where Hai was born. It’s where we made our first deals, built our first partnerships, and figured out which clients were worth working with. It’s cold most of the year and honestly not for everyone. But the people who stay here tend to be builders.
We work with businesses across North America and beyond. But Montreal is home. It always will be.

We are not an agency.
Agencies take orders and send invoices. We take ownership of results. We act like your business is our business, because when you win, we win.
We pick who we work with.
We don’t work with everyone. We work with businesses that are serious about growing and ready to move fast. We look for ambition, trust, and something worth building around.
We care about one thing.
Revenue. Everything else (clicks, views, followers) only matters if it leads to money in the bank. We are obsessed with results, not busy work.
